Partnerships in higher education are a powerful tool for building resilient communities

At the webinar “Exploring the Impact of Higher Education Partnerships in Conflict-Affected Regions”, the British Council 🇺🇦🇬🇧 presented the findings of its research study of the same name.

The study is based on interviews with key stakeholders from seven partnerships across six countries. It highlights the opportunities, challenges, and tangible impact of collaboration on the economic development of regions.

The discussion brought together experts from the UK, Europe, and other parts of the world. Representing the Twinning team, Deputy Director Oksana Vavrenchuk spoke at the event, sharing the initiative’s experience in advancing the internationalisation of academic cooperation.

The British Council’s research recognises Twinning as an important model of collaboration between UK and Ukrainian institutions. Twinning is about long-term perspectives and building a broad network of international educational partnerships.

With the goal of safeguarding the integrity of Ukraine’s higher education system and supporting universities in overcoming crises, this initiative has become more relevant than ever for educators of an unbreakable nation.

Overall, the webinar provided a vital platform for exchanging best practices and developing effective strategies to strengthen the role of universities in recovery processes.
