Ukrainian Week in the United Kingdom 2025

This year, the Cormack Consultancy Group, together with the Fund of the President of Ukraine for the Support of Education, Science and Sports and the Global Coalition for Ukrainian Studies, organised the first Ukrainian Week in the United Kingdom. The initiative brought together more than 30 UK universities and their Ukrainian partners, delivering over 100 events across the country. From Paisley to Plymouth and Belfast to Norwich, higher education institutions opened their doors to celebrate Ukrainian culture, resilience, and academic cooperation.

Throughout the week, universities hosted a wide range of activities, including exhibitions, lectures, debates, film screenings, book launches, musical performances, and joint workshops. Highlights included traditional dance in Norwich, poetry readings in Leicester, the moving theatre performance BLOKPOST in St Andrews, and a virtual reality exhibition in Cardiff showcasing underground schools in Ukraine. Each event served as a reminder of the creativity, strength, and cultural richness of Ukraine.

The success of Ukrainian week underscored the growing strength of academic partnerships in research, education, and cultural exchange, reflecting a shared commitment to supporting Ukrainian institutions through collaboration and long-term engagement and reinforced the value of cultural and educational cooperation.
