Twinning Initiative Recognised by the European Commission

Cormack Consultancy Group is proud to have become a member of the International Coalition for Science, Research and Innovation in Ukraine, joining a global community of organisations committed to supporting Ukraine’s research, innovation, and higher education ecosystem during and beyond the current crisis. We are grateful for the opportunity to contribute to this important collective effort and thank the Coalition for its openness, collaboration, and patience throughout the engagement process.

Through its coordination of the UK–Ukraine Twinning Initiative, CCG continues to work closely with UK and Ukrainian higher education institutions to foster long-term, sustainable partnerships that support academic resilience, capacity-building, and international collaboration. The Initiative has already demonstrated its value in strengthening institutional links, supporting Ukrainian researchers working in-country, and addressing the risks of brain drain while encouraging meaningful brain circulation.

We are pleased to note that the UK–Ukraine Twinning Initiative is now officially featured on the European Commission website under the International Coalition for Science, Research and Innovation in Ukraine, within the chapter titled “Support for Ukrainian researchers and innovators working in Ukraine to address brain drain and brain circulation.” This recognition reflects the collective efforts of all partners involved and reinforces the Initiative’s role as a strategic mechanism for supporting Ukraine’s research and innovation community during a critical period.

CCG remains committed to working with international partners, funders, and institutions to ensure that the Twinning Initiative continues to deliver tangible impact, promote academic solidarity, and contribute to the long-term recovery and future development of Ukraine’s higher education and research sectors.
